Carter Turns 3!

Today is Carters birthday (and a happy birthday holla at my niece, Juliet! Love that scurvy girl ;) ), and yesterday we had his party at Wheeler Farm. I can't believe how big tat boy is, it seems like he's changed so much even since I moved home in September. He is just the funniest dude, he has me laughing all.the.time. I can't believe how much I love that kid!

Snack table

Our new friend, the goose. He hung out to honk at us while we decorated to make sure it was to his goosey liking.

Its a cupcake cake!

Considering it was just me and my mom and sister, I don't think this kid is spoiled at all. Nope.

I love him. Lets pretend my hair isn't gross. ;)

Carter and his favorite person alive. It seriously doesn't get much cuter.

Me and my mama.

omg baby gooses are the best ever ever ever.

The kids feeding the geese

Carter kept saying, 'here ya go, little buddy!' to the geese. hahaha. How can you NOT love him?

'Would you like a snack, Mr. Goose?'

One more of me and the birthday boy!

I dont have any pics of present opening but he got quite the haul. From me, a Spiderman web shooter, Spiderman DVD, and some lame fishing game he wanted, ha. From Grandma, a Spiderman tent and a Spideman car/action figure and from his mama, some books and a scooter. He was soooo excited to open the presents and then lost interest after the first 2 or so. Crazy kid.
I can't belive another year has gone by and I'm so glad I could finally be here for a birthday of his!

Girls weekend in La-la-la-laaavaaa!

Last month, me and my favorite girlies (my momma and sista, of course!) decided we needed a weekend away. So we booked a trip to Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. I know, we are SO glam! Haha. We.had.so.much.FUN! I love hanging out with them, and it was nice to get away from all whiny boys for a few days! :p

Our luxurious accommodations! This motel was actually perfect. It was right across the street from the pools, clean, comfy beds, fridge for Diet Cokes... what more could a girl ask for??

Me and my pretty momma. Yep, we wandered around in bathing suits and cover-ups. Judge away. Its Idaho! ;)

We even gambled! Scandalous!

Whatever, it paid off! (ok, I broke even but whatever. Winning is fun!)

My sister is so cute when she gambles!

We didn't actually mean to be color-coordinating.
It was the best weekend ever! I am so lucky to have such an amazing family. we were down a sister (miss you, Annie!) but seriously. There are a lot of families in the world where siblings argue, don't speak to each other over petty things, and have a lot of contention. I'm SO thankful, every day, that I made the decision to come back to mine, I'm thankful for them every day, and I don't know what I'd do without them!

/end Sapfest

Speaking of my amazing family, and because I am SOOOO proud of him, a couple weeks ago my awesome nephew Jared got baptized! I REFUSE to believe he is 8. 8! ::gazes off wistfully.. i remember the day he was born, just like it was yesterday. Seriously, might be the most beautiful newborn I have ever seen! *tear!::
Anyways. Here he is, lookin' all adorable with his new scriptures
With his proud pops! Cutest.brother.alive.
Siblings! I love that the (mostly) love each other
Jesus is all, hey y'all! Look how cute! Behold!

And, for no reason at all, other than cuteness, me and my mommy.

(Sorry the format is a little wonky. Getting used to the new blogger and Chrome!)
Thanks for reading! I'll try to be less boring in the near future, hopefully! Ha!

Andrews birthday and Wendover!

Sunday was andrew's 30th birthday. Yay! He had a free room at the Montego Bay in Wendover, and he wanted to use it for his birthday. But first, of course, we had to open presents.

I actually let him open this one Saturday night. For Midnight Present. Because everyone should get a Midnight Present. He doesnt have any pictures at his desk at work, so I made a frame to put a picture of us in.

Also, a pen/iPad stylus. (thanks to Jonathan for the gift idea! It was a smash!)

And a Dolphins blanket that I tied the edges of. Or, Sharkies, as Carter has renamed them.

Then we headed to Wendover. I'd never been before, so as you can see, I was pretty excited. Plus, you know, I don't get out much.

The Tree of Utah! This is not, in fact, a tree. Its just.. a.. thing. Sculpture? I dont know. but its not a tree, thats for sure. The Sculpture of Utah?
Anyway, this was when I stopped taking pictures. You arent supposed to have cameras in the casinos, and since that was where we spent most of the day, there wasn't much opportunity. Monday we were as lazy as possible, slept in, spent the afternoon at the pool, took a nap... that was about it. I had to be at work Tuesday afternoon, so we left that morning to come back home. It was a pretty excellent weekend!

Now look at me I'm sparkling, A firework, a dancing flame, You won't never put me out again, I'm glowing

Hey faithful blog read..er! I'm baaaack! After a period of not having my own computer from moving, I now have a boyfriend with a laptop AND internet. Um, yes, please! Haha.
So, here is the official introduction of my Tooele-dwellin, computer-havin man friend (I feel too old for a boyfriend??), Andrew:
Since he actually enjoys life and doesn't turn into a giant curmudgeon during the holidays, we spent Easter weekend together and it was a great deal of fun. I even put this lame-o Easter basket together for him:
It had 2 BYU beer koosies, some candy bars and two very special gluten free cupcakes from a bakery I tracked down just for him. I got too excited and gave it to him on Saturday because I am a huge holiday fail, as usual.
Then on Sunday we went to my moms house for breakfast and set up an egg hunt for Carter before we went to the family picnic. Which I keep failing at uploading pictures of, but they are pretty much the usual picture in a slightly different locale. :)
All in all, it was a pretty perfect day, and Andrew was pretty much a trooper hangin out with my fam all day. :)

Last post of 2011!

2011 has definitely been quite a year! It seems like, in the last few months, at least, it has been a flurry of moving, catching up with old friends, making new friends, the divorce, and dating again. I have been having a complete blast with my family, and I am so looking forward to what the future holds.
Already in the next month I will have a new apartment and a new job, it seems like both have been such a long time coming! I know it has been forever since I added any pictures, I have been failing at blogging in general. Haha. I will *try* to be better in the new year. Hopefully it will be more exciting so I'll have more to blog about!
So, lets get to the pictures, since thats what you come here for, not my stunning(ly boring) commentary. :)
First, Christy and I took mom to My Fair Lady at Hale Center Theater. It was so much fun!

Then, my birthday

and cupcakes

and lunch at Zupas

happened.

And, of course, our 2nd annual family cookie party

complete with a melting snowman cookie

Anyways, thanks for reading! I'll try to get the Christmas pictures up as soon as I can, and hopefully an update on my super fabulous job is soon to come, too! :)

This has been a very eventful week for us! My sister is in town with her kiddos from VA because my cute, cute brother got married on Friday! We are so happy for him and Jana, and they are so cute. Plus, we really missed annie and her kids. ;)
I didn't get a ton of pictures but here aree the ones I got.

Jana about to toss the bouquet

Jana's cute boots

Me with Jared and Savannah

Me and Scotty.

Basically, I have the cutest sisters ever.

After the wedding, we took the kiddos to McDonalds so all the cousins could play. They had so much fun and were so cute together. They all just played like they were lifelong friends.

Oh, I also had the most fab shoes for the wedding that I think should be documented:

some sisterly sparkle. Mine are the heels. Christy's are the flats.

We love our 'flamly' and are glad the Sanders clan could come celebrate Scott and Jana with us!
